We have reviewed the Independent Auditors’ Reportof the Franklin Township, Portage County, prepared by Wilson, Phillips & Agin, CPA’s, Inc. The water remains safe for drinking and cooking. Only after the water returns to normal should laundry and other water projects be resumed. If discolored water happens at your property, please run cold water in bathtubs until the water runs clear, this may be necessary for as long as 5 to 10 minutes. This discolored water is caused by naturally occurring minerals being stirred up within the water mains. Based on the volume of water needed for the test it is anticipated that water in the system will become discolored. The test requires large volumes of water being used from the Portage County Water Resource distribution system. The tests should be concluded around 2:00 PM.
