I think that for magic monsters, stuns have to be prioritized over possession moves, seeing how many magic monsters are immune to possession. He also has a heavy damage 0cd stun, which comes in very handy. Granted, most fights don't last that long, but still. If you do the math, that's 85% of the enemy team's life over 4 turns. Learnean has a move that applies burn, poison and stamina leak to all enemies. 1v1 matches don't really matter, but Blob is the best 1v1 monster in the game. Blob has high speed, good damage potential and with all of his stamina drain moves, he is the best duelist in the game. I'm guessing Blob, Learnean and Fenrir must have raised a few eyebrows. Barbatos and Timerion are on most people's list, and although I can see that they are good monsters, I don't like them and very rarely use them. As I keep saying, each element has at most one or two real "no-brainers".The rest is mostly up to your personal preferences or your playstyle. I mean yeah those were my personal favorite, I knew there would be some choices you guys wouldn't agree with. The downside of VIPs is that they are much more expensive than normal monsters to rank up. It has to be the best trait in the game after Timerion and Totem's immunity to status effects. It's also worth mentioning that all VIPs have the bulwark trait, meaning all status effects have 50% less chance to land on them. Uther (Metal) and Scarr (Magic) have good offensive potential, but nothing crazy. Can shield your team from everything except light and he's got a 0cd negative effect remover. Even though they deal less damage, he still has good offensive potential. What I did with him is that I didn't pick any of the ally damaging moves. He can deal much more damage, but he can also deal much more damage to your own team. Nox (Dark) is a rather controversial one. Hiroim (Earth) is a great defensive monsters.
Well some VIPs are worth the money, some aren't.
